First of all, I am soooo sorry I have been so absent:(

Life threw me a few curve balls this past summer and I have been just trying to figure it all out.

Alot has happened and I will do my best to update as I try to remember it all right after I tell you about this AMAZING swap that is being hosted by the lovely and talented (among many other things) Zan from http://vagabondcreations.blogspot.com/ I am sure most of you know her and all the good and fun things she does but if you don't you MUST check out her blog!!!

I am so sorry to break the commitment of doing the Alice In Wonderland" blog even:( MY BAD!!

Not that there is an excuse that is good enough but......... I have been working 70 hours a week and the last two day I have been with out the Internet:( My dolls are NOT finished but I have a good start on The Queen of Hearts, Alice with a severed white rabbit head ( I know, I know, sounds bad but it is kinda cute lol ) and a flamingo girl.

I promise to finish all of them soon and post pics here is you will be so kind as to come back to visit me here:)

I won't be around too much this summer as this summer gig I took will be taking up ALL my time!! Be back in full force in the fall though, I promise:)

Jon-John's mama made them join the circus. You see she is a bit selfish and knew that her boys would be a good attraction and would fetch her lots of money. Jon loves the attention but John would much rather be some where else....what to do what to do???

While I was in San Francisco I had the great pleasure of Meeting the amazing Jennybird www.jennybirdart.com at Jack Howe's opening for one of his art shows. It was a great show and I met so many nice people. Jack's art work is something you need to check out if you haven't seen it before. Google Jack Howe.
Jenny and I exchanged info and a few days after the show I contacted her to see if I could come by for a visit before I went back to Canada. We welcomed me with her sweet open arms into her home and her private studio!! OMG.......... I was lost for words!!!!
I LOVE Jenny and her Over the top work.. Here is a small sample of what I had the honor to view with my very own eyes!!!
Thanks you sooooo much jenny for giving me the privilege to see your beautiful art work up close and personal:) These images and many others will be forever etched in my mind:)

Frisco dolls Sheri Debow and Jennybird OH MY

Hello all my blog land friends!!!

I have just return from spending 3 wonderful week in Beautiful San Francisco!!! What an amazing place!! The art in this city is mind blowing, the graffiti alone is some thing like I have never experienced any where else. I was so lucky to spend 3 days the the talented and sweet Sheir Debow. We made dolls, and shopped, and had a lovely and Delicious dinner and her ever so talented chef husbands Terry's Bistro called Fume Bistro and bar in Napa Valley.....do your self a huge favor and GO there.

This is one of the dolls I made while playing with Sheri Debow in Napa Valley Ca. We each made four dolls some the other will complete and some we will finish ourselves but when they are all done, they will be united and hopefully published as a collaboration:)

Sheri's work is amazing and it was purely my pleasure to spend 3 days with her and make dolls together!!! Love you Sheri:) And Thank you SOOOOO much for the wonderful experience that I will NEVER forget and can never thank her enough for her open arms and generous hospitality!!!
This is one of the doll I made at Sheri's. She is nameless as of now and not quite finished but does have a big sister at Sheri's house and she is asking when she will see her again......soon little one, I promise!!

I had the best time I have had in a very long time but now it is time to get back to work!!

Will post more amazing pictures later. We took over 1000 photos so it may take me some time to sort through them!! LOL

I just realized that my Jennybird pictures are in my other computer so I will post them tomorrow:) AMAZING so PLEASE come back and have a boo!!

My Magic carpet need to fill up on some more petro to finish the journey of the One World One Heart event!! Ginny, ADO and TDP 2010

Shipping starts today for ADO's Traveling Doll Project 2010!! I am part of Team Boneca and my other team mate are the ever so talented Deena from http://www.fabbydolls.blogspot.com/ and Bari from http://www.fineartstudioonline.com/

They are both amazing doll makers and I am so lucky to be part of such this team:)

This is Virginia, Ginny for short, she will be making her way to see Bari first in Arizona, then in one months time off to see Deena in Michigan then back to me a finished doll!! I can't wait for her return so I can see what she has become!!

This is Wynn, I just love her already:) The ever so talented Deena will be working on Wynn first. There was some questions as to the gender of Wynn but I think SHE is a sweet soul just waiting to shine through!! But......who know until the end when Wynn returns home to the hands of Bari.....She is going to Deena first so by the time she/her gets to me things could change!! That is one of the things that make this wonderful project so much fun!!! I am so honored to be part of the project again this year!!! The first doll I will get is from Deena, now this is going to be somewhat of a challenge for me as I have never added the head to an already made body!! and an amazing body too I might add!! I am excited about this!! but a little nervous too...... I have so good ideas for this doll as I am sure Bari does too and it will be really interesting to see how she finishes:)

This project is soooo amazing!! Last year was the first year ADO did this project and this year it is bigger!! PLEASE follow the ADO blog to keep track of all the teams that are participating...

Okay folk, let the fun begin!!!!

The Light In The Dark

Well the opening night of our gallery show went off without a hitch!! We named the show "The Light In The Dark" seemed fitting for all of our work:) The paintings you see in the gallery were done by two of my co-workers, Deb and Ryan. We figure we had 75 to 100 people through the gallery with in an hour!! We were happy with that considering the short time we had to put the show together...( about a week, with Christmas and all) The stands for the dolls we made two day before the show!!) I tried to rent some but that wasn't happening. It all worked out pretty good though and the feed back from the guests was AWESOME!! No sales that night but lots of inquiries and some people said they were going to have to decide which one they wanted. I also had a few people asking about commission work so hopefully I will hear from them and get some work:) We gathered next door at a cool lounge next door to the gallery for some wonderful hors D'oeuvres (?) and some mingling. All in all it was a really nice evening and fun was had by all!!

Tonight Is The Night!!

OMG, i feel a bit sick!! tonight is the opening of my FIRST gallery show and I am soooo nervous!!

Yikes, I am sure most of you know how I feel so you can relate. Any advice on how to not look like a fool would be great!!! LOL

Sorry I have been neglecting my blog, I have just had so much on the go, after this weekend I will be sure to update. There is so many exciting things going on right now, with the traveling doll project with ADO and the One World One Heart with Lisa, to my show and so on!!

OWOH 2010, Addison and Ben

This time of year is full of love, family, friends and laughter, I wish you all lots of all of the above!!

For those of you traveling, I wish you a safe journey and for those of you expecting travelers I wish them a safe journey to your homes:)

The time has come once again for the One World One Heart event!!! Last year was my first time partaking and what a great experience that was!!!Thanks to Lisa's over at A whimsical bohemian ( I can't seem to get the link to her page work right now but am going to try and add a click able badge on my tool bar)

Now for the seven things no one knows about me.......HMMM,,, Okay here goes......

1. I fell off my porch when I was 10 and broke my wrist , both bones clean break......SNAP!! I had a long sleeve shirt on and my sister thought I had a tennis ball up my sleeve until I pull my sleeve up and had to hold my wrist together to keep my hand in the right place.

2. I have been with the same guy for almost 15 years. I met him when I got my first tattoo and I now have about 1/3 of my body tattooed. ( not all by him)

3. I live in Canada and have traveled as far as England JUST to get tattooed. I was there for 36 hrs..lol at the time the pound was almost 3X the Canadian dollar!!!!

4. When I first discovered polymer clay 4 years ago I had NO idea that there were people who made a living from making one of a kind dolls....in fact I had no idea what an art doll even was!!!

5. I dream of the day when I will make dolls and teach doll making full time:)

6. I am a mother to two Cane Corso ( Italian Mastiff) dogs. Both boys, the first one is Morpheus and he will be 6 Oct 17th and the second one is Sirius he just turned 4 Aug 15th. Sirius is epileptic and has be seizure free since he went on his meds when he was 10 months old. He take it 2 times ever day. they drewl like idiot!!! LOL

7. Most of my best friends I have never met in person.....But I hope to some day!!!!

ADO Mini monthly challenge "Clowns"

Sept ADO challenge was clowns. This challenge will be finished on the 8th of Oct. There are some wonderful clowns that were done by the Art Dolls Only team. This is BoJo ( Robert Joseph ) and "friends" This was my clown for the challenge.

Madam Opal and Grandma witch

I am so thrilled to have Madam Opal home and she looks amazing!!! She is more then I envisioned and the artist that worked on her were so in tune with what Madam Opal was meant to be:) I am honoured to have had so many talented doll maker work on her and will treasure her for a life time! I will definitely participate in a project like this again!!

Working on these different dolls forced me to work out side of my comfort zone and I think I am a better artist because of this, for this I will always be grateful. What a wonderful experience this was !!

When Grandma Witch arrived at my door, I was so excited to open her!! For a few reasons, one, she was my last doll to work on and two, she is amazing!!! For a few days she sat and watched me, she didn't say much, just observed the madness at my house. She seemed to gravitate to the cats and they seemed be around her alot. I think she felt safe around them. More so then with me or my BIG dogs. She need some thing to tell her secrets to and it wasn't me:(

I picked up my clay a few days after she arrived and this cat seemed to birth itself!!! Grandma Witch was watching and seemed to smile, I knew this was what she needed:)

The moment I finished this kitty and placed it in her arms, she was complete. They are a perfect pair and I heard them whispering to each other for the next couple of days before I gently packed her up with all her belongings she collected along her journey and sent her back to Cindy, home at last with an interesting story to tell I am sure:)

What a wonderful doll she is, such a gentle soul and beautiful face!! I loved seeing her in person, as all the other amazing dolls and again, can not express my gratitude for being able to of worked with all these talented artist and will always hold fond memories of this experience:)

Well we are back from the show, Had a Great TIME!! We are all tired and back to work today but every one was busy, lots of tattoos to be done and we all got new tattoos too!! Jay and I got a small swallow on or HANDS!! yes on the hand. Jay got his on his right hand and I got mine on my left, when we hold hands now our swallows and kiss:) We also have these swallows that fly in our house all the time. If we leave our deck door open, they fly in, fly around our kitchen and living room and fly back out again!! I guess we have crossed over the line now, no turning back......we are now officially part of the tattoo world!! Sailor Jerry Swallow did our tattoos for us. He is an old school tattooer from the 50's and it was really cool to have a tattoo done by an old school boy. A part of our history:)

Jay tattoo machines were a BIG hit too!! I was sooooo happy for him:) People were looking for them that bought them last year and sending people to get them!! I guess we are going to have to start doing the convention circuit like the new age carnies:) LOL

Off to the show, a visit from my Bro and a beautiful award!!

So....I am off to the tattoo convention for the weekend and will probably not have a lot of time to stop by my favorite blogs and see how your week ends are going:( I will miss you guys for a few days) but hope the convention will be exciting and I will have allot to show and tell you all on Monday.

My brother, Perry, came home to visit, dog sit and attend the show for a day too!! He is also a tattoo fan and is looking forward to the show as well:) Having TWO pony sized dogs ( with one of them needing medication 2 times a day) it is very difficult to find care for them for us to be able to go away anywhere for more then a day. I am sooo happy Perry could fly in from Edmonton to take care of the beasts and visit for a week!!!

The first beast is Morpheus and the other is Sirius.

Then the wonderful and beautiful (inside and out) Michelle from Crow Haven Farm. http://thestudioatcrowhavenfarm.blogspot.com/ Please visit her if you haven't yet. she ROCKS and you will surely love her as much as I do:) She is probably one of the most amazingly giving, honest and beautiful people that I have had the honour to call my FRIEND:) She has encouraged me and supported me in both my art and my being and I really do love her:) AND I can't wait to hug her too:)

She to me is the best roll model I could even dream to become 1/2 of what she is. I know that is kinda mushy but she really really is a beautiful soul and has had an incredible impact on me:) Besides......she make the cutest dolls EVER!!!

skull, Nanami and shameless self promotion

For those of you who have been wanting to know, we finished the skull entry for the exhibit and silent auction at the tattoo convention in Toronto this comming week end. It ended up bing a colaberation of the entire shop. Mostly being done by Al Hartshorn and myself but every one added their two cents to it too. I think it turned out, well.......interesting!! LOL

I will let you know how he does in the auction:)

I sure learned alot from this project!! It is a life size skull and we used bike sprockets, watch and clock parts, springs, hoses, air dry clay, polymer clay, spray foam insulation, wood, screws, hot glue,wire , poly wrap stuff, spray paint, and an airbrush.....hmmmm, wonder if I forgot anything?? LOL

How is that for mixed media??

"skulls" Exhibit and tattoo convention

Just thought I would show some WIP for a skull exhibit we are participating in for a Tattoo convention coming up in a few weeks. I am doing a colaberation with one of the artists at the tattoo shop. Jay and I have done the work on this so far and today Al HArtshorn is working his magic on it. This is "Beth" she is for Dag's quarterly challenge, "what is dark to you" the Doll is call Silently Sad and she has slit wrists:( So many young adults suffer from deep depression to the point where suicide seems the only way out and to me this is DARK. Beth suffers silently. She is finished now and I will be posting pictures of her probably tomorrow of the next day.

Lucky Lucky me again!!! Essie and I have done a trade and this is the magnificent Sacajawea, the doll Essie made for ME:) I just love her, she is beautiful and unusual and I am sooooo lucky to have her in my collection! I still have such a long way to go but thought I would give you a sneak peak of the direction it is taking.... get you minds out of the gutter and take note of the pillow in Othello's hands!! all the guys at work today of coarse thought they were doing some thing else!! Leave it to a man. The bed still need the canopy put on the to be be stained and material draped on it, Still need to do bedding clothing for Desdemona and feet and clothing for Othello. But so far I am happy with how it is working out. Once the bed is finished I have a feeling I will be obsessed until it is compleated....augh....more late nights to come, TGIF !!!

Oh I just Love love love my monster and his girl!!! Today I got the best surprise in the mail from my friend Nicole aka mealy monster http://itsybitsyfunzyonesie.blogspot.com/ We did a trade and it was to be a surprise:) When I saw that post man today bringing me a box I was like a kid at Christmas!! I knew right away it was my very own monster!! I know Nicole's monsters and LOVE them but the photos do not even come close to how wonderful they are in your hands!!! I just love them to bits!! I am so happy to be participating is such an event!! I am going to be photos of my give away tonight or tomorrow.

His name is Abner and he is a mute. after the tragic death of his parents, he stopped talking. He is obsessed with his Rubik's cube and does nothing but solve the puzzle, mess it all up and solve it again and again and again. I think he just needs someone to love him:)

Abner is about 8" tall and is made using prosculpt. His body is soft and gently pose able. His clothes are hand sewn by me as well. He is one of a kind.

This is going to be sooooo much fun and it is going to be awesome to see all the wonderful artist that will be participating in it. What an incredible way to meet new friends and maybe win some awesome art!!!

After much stress of dog-handling, lol I think maddy is quite happy with her new look:)I washed the dog drool off her little face, removed her dirty coat and slimmed skirt and she has a fresh new look, i think she is better off with out her blond doo..... And I finally figured out somewhat how to do leather shoes:)

Ya know when I finished this dolls I wasn't quite sure about her blond hair....I think it aged her about 40 years! BUT I thought she is what she is and was about to move on. I had her sitting on the table beside me as I was filling out some paper work and got up from the table for like 1 min and Morpheus had her in his mouth tearing at her coat. Sirius had grabbed her off the table and Morphues got her from him. Morpheus is 162 lbs and could easily have swallowed her whole or at least chewed her head off but instead just pulled her hair off and ripped her coat!! I inspected her from head to toe and the only things he damaged where the things I was not 100% happy with any way!!! Oh and one of them ate her hat too!!!

Is this a sign???? Or does he just hate blonds??

After having some mixed feelings for this little one, she found her way into my heart:)

This is the story of the little match girl by Hans Christian Andersen.

Once upon a time . . . a little glrl tried to make a living by selling matches in the street.

It was New Year's Eve and the snowclad streets were deserted. From brightly lit windows came the tinkle of laughter and the sound of singing. People were getting ready to bring in the New Year. But the poor little matchseller sat sadly beside the fountain. Her ragged dress and worn shawl did not keep out the cold and she tried to keep her bare feet from touching the frozen ground. She hadn't sold one box of matches all day and she was frightened to go home, for her father would certainly be angry. It wouldn't be much warmer anyway, in the draughty attic that was her home. The little girl's fingers were stiff with cold. If only she could light a match! But what would her father say at such a waste! Falteringly she took out a match and lit it. What a nice warm flame! The little matchseller cupped her hand over it, and as she did so, she magically saw in its light a big brightly burning stove.
She held out her hands to the heat, but just then the match went out and the vision faded. The night seemed blacker than before and it was getting colder. A shiver ran through the little girl's thin body.
After hesitating for a long time, she struck another match on the wall, and this time, the glimmer turned the wall into a great sheet of crystal. Beyond that stood a fine table laden with food and lit by a candlestick. Holding out her arms towards the plates, the little matchseller seemed to pass through the glass, but then the match went out and the magic faded. Poor thing: in just a few seconds she had caught a glimpse of everything that life had denied her: warmth and good things to eat. Her eyes filled with tears and she lifted her gaze to the lit windows, praying that she too might know a little of such happiness.
She lit the third match and an even more wonderful thing happened. There stood a Christmas tree hung with hundreds of candles, glittering with tinsel and coloured balls. "Oh, how lovely!" exclaimed the little matchseller, holding up the match. Then, the match burned her finger and flickered out. The light from the Christmas candles rose higher and higher, then one of the lights fell, leaving a trail behind it. "Someone is dying," murmured the little girl, as she remembered her beloved Granny who used to say: "When a star falls, a heart stops beating!"
Scarcely aware of what she was doing, the little matchseller lit another match. This time, she saw her grandmother.
"Granny, stay with me!" she pleaded, as she lit one match after the other, so that her grandmother could not disappear like all the other visions. However, Granny did not vanish, but gazed smilingly at her. Then she opened her arms and the little girl hugged her crying: "Granny, take me away with you!"
A cold day dawned and a pale sun shone on the fountain and the icy road. Close by lay the lifeless body of a little girl surrounded by spent matches. "Poor little thing!" exclaimed the passersby. "She was trying to keep warm!"
But by that time, the little matchseller was far away where there is neither cold, hunger nor pain.

This is Aerial, she is one of 3 fairies I have done, the first. I had a Friend from an ebay group I belong to come a sculpt with me for 2 days. Laurie AKA awakened dreams. I traded a rag doll kitten for 2 sculpting days with her:) She does beautiful Fairies and I don't. lol So I thought I could sure learn something from her!! I the two days she was there we talked more then we sculpted so we only got the head and part of her torso done so I was left on my own to finish her. I think all in all I did pretty good. With about two weeks of struggling and slicing off clay and putting it back on again I finally finished her:) It was cool to do something pretty but it is just not where my heart lies. But none the less I am proud of her:) I think my "pretty" days are done for now, I have way too much fun doing "ODD"

A Huge Score at Goodwill:)

I am a frequent goodwill shopper like I am sure most of you are, and every once in a while you come across something that is a huge score. well I had two of those score last week.

I am not quite sure yet what I am going to do with this but I just Love it and my mind raced like crazy when Jay brought it over to me and said look what I found!!! I just love it:)

and then there was Frank!! I saw just the top of his head peaking out of the bottom of a pile of "stuff" that was just above my eye level.....my heart skipped....I knew just from what I saw that this was another huge score!! I proudly carried him around the store and people were saying " oh my, why do you want that ugly thing?" to me he was awesome and he made me smile the rest of the day:):)

So Sunday afternoon I went to a local doll show, I have gone the last 3 years and this year I think there were alot more OOAK dolls there then bbefore which was nice to see:) I had fun and scored some cool stuff too. I got a bunch of antique lace and trim and two antique childrens nighties!! I also got some glass eyes at a good price so I was a happy camper. I usually hand paint my eyes but it is nice sometimes to have glass as an option. They are so pretty!
All in all was a good day and I think I might get a booth next year. I will load some picture ;ater, right now my computer is being STUPID!!!! AUGH, I need a new computer!!

After some mixed reaction to Clarice's slit throat and graphic story I de-slit her throat and wrote a softer, less graphic ending. bottom line is.....she is ghost that wonders the orphanage garden.

When the Yellow Fever took his beautiful wife Eleanor, Norman was left to raise their only child Clarice. With a broken heart he did the best he could but life was so dark with out her. He found himself sinking deeper and deeper into debt and doom.
He lost his job at the coal mine because he had no one to care for Clarice and with no job it wasn't long before the bank took their home.
Norman had no where to turn and no family to help. He had no choice but to go to Mrs Blathersby's orphanage for the unattractive and mentally unsound. He knew that it was unusual for a grown man to ask to live there but he thought he could perhaps work for their room and board. He begged her to take them in and Mrs Blathersby agreed to and said he could be the gardener. She gave them a room in one of the towers.
Norman thought that since they were no longer in their home, the dreams would stop, but night after night Eleanor came to him pleading with him to bring Clarice and join her on the other side.
One night after waking in a sweat from yet another dream, Norman did the unthinkable!

As sweet Clarice lay sleeping, with her bear tucked under her arm, Daddy kissed her on the forehead as he collected her in his arms. He walk to the open window of their tower bedroom, stepped up onto the ledge and jumped.

Poor Norman did not know that if he took his own life he would not be going to the same place as Eleanor and Clarice but would be trapped in the tower forever.

Clarice can be seen from time to time wondering the gardens looking for him.

Well after a HUGE thanksgiving dinner and a tea I am finally relaxing after a busy day.
Wow, I have soooo much to be thankful for:) and I try not to take any of it for granted. I have a great man, a great business 2 great dogs, 3 great cats, a great family and an all round great life!!!

My nieces birthday is coming up and my sister Kelly (her mom) asked me to do a doll for her. Her name is Sarah and we have always called her bear so.......this is Sarah Bear and her baby rabbit. I Still want to get a buggy for her rabbit but other then that is is pretty much finished. The Rabbit will be from me:)

So after a long count down, Kamlia and I finally had our clay play day on Sunday the 5th of Oct.

It got off to a rough start but I arrived at her house about 11 am. After a quick show and tell we were off antique shopping:) Kamila was looking for "fart jars" lol for her fart smelling bunny she intend to do soon. lol Can't wait to see it!!! Should be a hoot!!! I found some antique hankies and some things for Jay's tattoo machine building, hand made iron nails, a railroad spike and a horse shoe. All in all good finds were had by both of us:)

Then we were off to Tim Hortins (great Canadian coffee shop) to introduce Kamila to their once a year pumpkin muffins!!! OMG they are sooooooooo good! YUM YUM!! I got another person addicted to them. I am going to have to stock up on them and freeze them.

Off to make Zombies!!

Kamila made "Penny" a cute little Victorian zombie girl while I went for Bernie, the redneck farmer Zombie boy. They both turned out great and it was lots of fun!!!

I think as I got Kamila addicted to pumpkin muffins she got me addicted to mini Zombies:)

I can't wait to make more ZOMBIES!!!!

He begged her to take them in and Mrs Blathersby agreed to and said he could be the gardener. She gave them a room in one of the towers.

Norman thought that since they were no longer in their home, the dreams would stop, but night after night Eleanor came to him pleading with him to bring Clarice and join her on the other side.

One night after waking in a sweat from yet another dream, Norman did the unthinkable!

While sweet Clarice lay asleep with her teddy tucked under her arm, he took his garden sheers and slit her throat. He then climbed up onto the night table, threw a rope over the rafter and hung himself.

Norman did not realize that by taking his own life he would not be able to join his wife and daughter and would be forever in the small room in the tower.

Clarice can be seen from time to time wandering the gardens looking for her him.

Clarice's nighty is hand made along with her night cap and bloomers using my great grandmother dress which is round 125 years old. The lace trim is recycled as well but is from around the 60's. She is truely one of a kind:)

A bit more work to go and she will be finished. Hem her nighty and add lace to the bottom, gore her neck a bit more and add some blood stains to her clothes. I think I might change her eyes too.

Bobby

Born out of wedlock to a young girl due to an unfortunte event, he was never wanted. The moment he was born, she turned her back and shouted" take him away!!"

He was nameless, motherless and homeless at birth.

One of the nurses, Marion Jones, who assisted in his delivery offered to take him home until they could place him.

She named him Bobby. See Bobby was her one and only love......and that was in grade 5

Well only after a few weeks she realized that this baby Bobby was more then she could handle. He cried morning and night and nothing seemed to settle him. Marion gladly surrendered him to the courts.

He went from foster home to foster home and they all said the same thing. " this baby Bobby is NOT a happy baby!"

As he began to walk and talk it was clear he was just a bad seed and all hopes of him finding a home had vanished. They had no choice but to take him to MRSBO. Bobby was 3 when he came to live at the orphanage four years ago.

He bites, curses, spits and all kinds of other vulgar acts but deep down inside he just wants to be loved.

Elliott

Elliott was bone to Silvia and Tom Davies in 1892. He was an only child and had every thing a little boy could dream of having.

Tom was a successful lawyer and Sylvia an artist. They had a beautiful mansion with acreage in the country in England.

The only problem with this perfect life was that Tom like the bottle a little too much.

After a very long and stressful murder trial that he lost, he began a binge of drinking.

Sylvia wanting to shelter Elliott from this ugly side of his father decided to take him to his grandmothers for a few week and packed up the horse and buggy for the journey and they started the two day trip.

the weather was rainy and the roads were wet and slippery. Out of the woods came a pack a wolves and spooked the horses sending them into a tizzy. As the horses ran wild with fear the carriage tipped off the side of the road rolling over and over and landing in the ditch up side down. It was not until the following morning that they were discovered and by then Sylvia had passed due to her head injuries and Elliott lost his leg from being trapped under the buggy.

The news of the accident hit Tom like a ton of bricks and he hit the bottle even harder.

He could not look at Elliott with out seeing Sylvia and this broke his heart.

Sylvia's mother knew this was not a good place for Elliott to be and came to collect him to live with her. She was in her eighty year and in poor health herself, with in the year she passed on as well and Elliott was left homeless and awarded to the courts.

Due to his disability it was impossible to place him in a permanent home and the older her got the harder it became so off to MRSBO's he went where all the other unwanted children go.
